Hey, Pretty Girls!
One thing that is quite obviously important to us at the Peek-A-Boo PrettyGirl foundation is making sure we always feel good about ourselves! A lot of women don’t take self-love seriously enough. While self-esteem is great, it differs slightly from self-love in that self-esteem is not something that is active, but more passive. That being said, you can have great self-esteem but not really be doing anything to show yourself love! In fact, many females are not even always sure how to show love for themselves. Here’s some techniques to help out!
Start a Self-Love Journal
Journaling is a quick and effective way to change your perspective on things going on around and inside of you. A self-love journal doesn’t necessarily have to be an extensive writing assignment, but could simply be a weekly or daily list you write of reasons you love yourself and reasons you are lovable. There’s no better feeling than taking some time to really reflect on what makes you LOVE you.
Take a Loooong Bath
Naturally, everyone bathes. But how often do you stop to really pamper yourself? Try running a warm, cozy bath and adding some rose petals, essential oils like lavender or lemongrass, and 1 can of coconut milk for an amazingly soothing blend. Afterward, you’ll feel relaxed and rejuvenated!
Take Yourself on a Date
Never hesitate to take yourself out on a day-date! Sometimes you just need to splurge on your favorite cuisine, and why not stop and by a new outfit and get your nails done while you’re at it? It never hurts to treat yourself like a princess, whether or not the rest of the world does.
