The Beginner’s Guide to Makeup: Part 2

Happy Friday PrettyGirls!

The weekend is here (well it will be at 5pm for a lot of us) but nevertheless today I’m here to share a quick and simple makeup routine! Unless I’m attending an event, I tend to keep my weekend makeup at the bare minimum. My Saturdays are filled with errands, meetings and taking care of business things so I choose not to spend a lot of time making myself look like a goddess LOL.

Below, you will find the steps and products I use to achieve my weekend makeup look.

Ladies, I cannot stress enough how important your eyebrows are! They really change the appearance of your face. If you do NOTHING else make sure your eyebrows are up to par before you leave the house. Since I was a teenager, I got my eyebrows razored, threaded or wax but over the last few months I’ve taken a break from all 3 of those to give my brows a chance to grow back fuller. Now I use brow kits to achieve my perfect brows!

My most recent makeup kit purchase is Nyx’s Brow Kit and so far I love it! If you’re new to makeup, this is a good purchase because it comes with the mini brushes you need to brush and shape your brows. Learning to shape your brows is probably one of the hardest things ever (just being honest) but the more you practice, the easier it will become! Click here for a tutorial on how to shape your brows. Nyx Brow Kit can be found in your local hair supply store.

Concealer, Eyeliner and Mascara

Please see our previous post for more details on all three of these products. I LIVE by each of them! Keep scrolling down to our blog post “The Beginner’s Guide to Makeuup: Part 1”

Springtime is here and in full effect! Bronzer is a must have! Just dust a little on to give yourself a beautiful glow. This is the perfect touch to complete your minimal makeup look.

You can’t go wrong with any bronzers from Maybelline! You can find this bronzer at any drugstore.

Whenever I’m rocking minimal makeup, I stay away from lipsticks and bright glosses because that takes away from the natural look. Instead I whip out my trusty chapstick! I’m soooooo big on proper lip moisture! One of my favorite lip balms is Burt’s Bees. I love that it’s all natural and leaves your lips feeling soft all day. They are a little more pricey that your average chapstick but totally worth it! You can find Burt’s Bees in any drugstore.

So there you have it! This routine generally takes me 5-7 minutes and that’s because I’ve been doing it for awhile! So don’t fret if you find yourself taking a little more time to get this look done. Just keep practicing and perfecting and pretty soon you’ll be moving like a pro!

Have an awesome weekend 🙂
