Want to eat healthier, but taste gets the best of your health kick every time?

Don’t sweat it! Healthy food can be yummy too. With the hustle and bustle of everyday life many times convenience over powers nutrition.  Here are some great alternatives that cut calories but not the taste.

Veggies: Of course, vegetables are another great side item. From carrots to green beans they will add a great punch to your lunch.

With these simple side items added to a salad or sandwich, you will be good to go.  For a more densely satisfying lunch, add lean meat, like turkey, and cheese to wheat bread to create a delicious lunch meal. Paired nicely with a salad on the side, your healthy meal can have an explosion of  flavor. With your salad, try mixing salmon (or your preferred fish, chicken, or turkey) and cheese, then drizzling a light dressing or vinaigrette. These simple choices will allow lunch to become your favorite meal of the day!

Ingredients

  • Lettuce
  • 1 Chicken breast filet
  • 1-teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • Avocado
  • Cilantro
  • Lime
  • ⅓ cup grape tomatoes
  • 2 cups sliced mini Portobello mushrooms
  • 1-teaspoon sesame seeds
  • Salt and pepper for taste
